Sione Kaisa Lui - President Business owner and entrepreneur in the field of construction, Kaisa's first hand experience in overcoming the obstacle's of competing as a minority business help to develop his knowledge and skills necessary to survive the demands of our increasingly competitive society. He has also served on the State of Utah Ethnic Health Board, as well as, the Gang Prevention Task Force. Bestowed the chiefly title of Ma'utofia on Kaisa Prince Ma'atu the title denotes cultural values inherent in National Tongan American Society, to strive to perpetuate the rich history of Tonga. Lupe M. Prescott - Vice President For over 19 years Lupe has been employed with the Salt Lake Police Department and has been integral in translating and interpreting for the courts. She is a single mother with one daughter and two sons all employed in law enforcement. A perfect role model for single mothers, Lupe believed, that in spite of the difficult challenges in life, you must be persistent, patient, and set goals for yourself. O. Fahina Tavake Pasi - Executive Director Consistently and actively engaged in a good cause with the University of Utah. As an academic advisor to minority students at the University of Utah, Fahina has been integral in hosting numerous educational conferences, symposiums, cultural programs, and scholarship fundraisers. She is a member of the State Polynesian Advisory Council, Polynesian Association of Utah Board, NAPAH, Polynesian Art Society, PTA, Salt Lake City Little League, West Valley City Advisory Council, and the Tanner Humanitarian Council. Her experience speaks well of her integrity towards educational excellence and making a positive difference wherever she is. Ivoni M. Nash - Program/Office Manager Due to her services to the community Ivoni was a recipient of the Governor's 2001 Women's Achievement Award. Ivoni is often seen throughout the community advocating for Pacific Islanders on boards and contributing endless hours making a positive difference. Employed over twenty years at the Utah State Office of Education, she often looks for programs to benefit Pacific Islanders. She is a member of the Asian Association, Polynesian Association of Utah and the Salt Lake Women's Organization. |
